set up, heal, set up, heal, set up, heal, attack, omg lol I cant believe how this battle turned out. If this were real VGC, you couldn’t heal stall like that at all. I guess you have to take advantage of everything, including healing like a madman, to not lose a nuzlocke. Good game, though, this entire run has been really really fun to watch. Bravo.
NGL adrive I think the next buglocke, you should heavily limit the amount of potions you use in battle and maybe not give your pokemon so many lives, idk it did not seem as challenging. I still enjoyed the series alot don’t get me wrong, I waited for every episode to come out but these are just suggestions for the future.
I love the level jump at the end, it really gives you the feel that Leon is the undefeatable champion for a reason. He is powerful, its not just some bit its legit.
Love the way these games flow, love that if you choose to play the game like a normal pokemon game, and not get tons of free levels from raids, you will rarely be over level it makes it so much more fun.
The battle was ok. I love the bug runs u do, at the start of the game its like wow he is getting through the battles smoothly but once it gets to the more “harder” stuff the whole set up/heal gets boring to watch..i would personally like to see a loss and see how far u can get with bug types with no excessive use of items. its understandable since you are only using bug types. Other than that very good vid 🙂 cant wait to see you battle in a more competitive enviroment
Personally 9/10, also I honestly see using more than two heal items is kind of cheating, but giving that you are doing a bug locke I guess it slides. However if you had not used use all the items you used Leon probably would have wipes the floor with your team.
Good playthrough none the less!
9/10 this is one of my favorite games in the series. This game made gyms feel like an actual competition and the experience was surreal. Even though this game has some flaws it is easily top 3 for me
I’d give it an 8. It’s a very good game that’s still held back by some performance issues and design choices. I’m nearly 100 hours in, finished the dex and onto shiny breeding and building competitive teams.
MVP Orbitz. Orbeetle is one of my favorite bugs in this gen. He held up through a ton of attacks.
Oh, and QOTD is 8 out of 10. I like the game.
I’ve enjoyed every minute of the 80 hours I’ve put into this game. Is it perfect? No. Is it a phenomenal start to Pokemon being on a home console? HECK YEAH! I hope it just keeps getting better and better!
aDrive: “OMG! HOW DID HE LIVE??!?!”
While Ancient Power is pretty powerful under Charizard’s higher special attack, Centiskorch has 90 base spedial defense, so it can tank even quad-weak hits. Also, Ancient Power’s base attack is pretty crappy, it’s only 60 base attack, although I’m impressed that Leon has a G-Max Charizard with an egg move, must have got it from a 5-star raid. 🙂
Was doing an all dark type play through and watched you as I did it and we went through the game at right about the same speed. Very entertaining and you inspired me to replay Pokémon games with theme teams. Thank you!
I love that the move that finished the whole thing is the signature move of Heatmor. In a very roundabout, tangential, indirect way, it makes me feel like my favorite Fire-type had some role to play in this victory. Is it stupid to think that? Oh, probably, but I don’t even care.
(bearing in mind I’ve never rated a Pokemon game lower than 5) – If I forgot every Pokemon game I ever played I’d likely say 10/10. I liked the story. I LOVED the wild area. The new Pokemon designs weren’t my favorite (I especially didn’t like the starter evolutions) but there were some that I really liked, like eiscue, toxtricity, clobbopus…
My problems with the game: the main story is too short and there are no real legend hunts, the ai that fills your raid battle parties don’t scale to the difficulty and I rarely get a full team without friends, and the obvious Dexxit issue but I’m not too hurt by that one
