A Full EV Training Guide for Pokemon Sword and Shield!
I was trying to make a competitive team and when I saw this video I instantly clicked because I needed this so bad. Thx so much. Love your content btw.👍🏻
This is the only video for EV training that has broken down the process enough for me to understand! Thank you.
U explained it right 🥰, I was so confused when other people were explaining it, but when u did it and went slow and steady. I was able to figure out what they are and how to get them and use them correctly, thanks 😊
aDrive I want to say thank for these guides that you give us. I wanted to do Competitive Battling for so long and i finally know how to do so. So again thank you. You have no idea how much these Guides help out. Thanks.
Hey Adrive, can you make a video of a good team balance for the starters weakness coverage in Pokémon sword and shield? Here is my team that I’m planning to use for Pokémon sword and they are inciderace(fire rabbit) corviknight( flying/steel) toxtricity( electric/poison high key form) siesmitoad (water/ground), hatterene( physic/fairy), and my final team member is abomasnow(grass/ice)?
Can someone help me pls. I shiny breeded a shiny lvl 1 honedge and i was thinking if u could boost it with exp candys to like lvl 60 or whatever and then IV train it with wild pkm because i dont want to do anything wrong with it
Can some one tell me if i change my evs on a pokemon does it change the iv for that or does it remain very good or can you change it that it says best
Hey I’m looking for advice on what EVs I should give my cinderance I’m thinking overall even stats maybe a little more focused on speed on attack can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance
I’m use to doing EV training in gen 7, I was always more into competitive when it comes to the TCG because the card game makes sense to me, I grew up with the cards & the anime but I didn’t grow up with the games so when I picked up my first game, Soul Silver, I had a lot to learn & I bought every game upon release gens 6 & on. EV training never made sense to me, makes much more sense today but didn’t for a very long time. During gen 6, I played the TCG competitively & just played the video game for fun, I received a 6iv level 1 shiny Dratini from Wonder Trade which was most likely hacked but this was early X/Y days, I didn’t think about the possibility of it being hacked, all I knew was this person sent me a competitively viable shiny & I knew I had to take good care of it. At Portland Regionals, I spoke with a N cosplayer, they were there for the video game & I was there for the TCG, we traded off sharing tips on playing each other’s games & I showed them my Dratini, asked about EV training & they explained the process to me, it was like they were speaking another language honestly. I get it now, watching your video but that might be because during gen 7, when I hatched nearly a competitively viable shiny Charmander, I decided to learn how to EV train. I learned how to breed for IVs so that when I shiny hunted, I’m not sending out crappy breedjects in Wonder Trade, I wanted to give people things they would be excited to receive & when my shiny Charmander had 5iv, I figured I’d learn how to EV train her so I did. The reason why it’s easier to EV train in gen 7 is because BP are far more accessible in those games, Mantine Surf & Pokebank means that I never had a shortage of BP & bought whatever I wanted to. I had everything I needed for EV training in Ultra Moon, I even had some Pokémon with pokerus but in Shield, I feel like I have nothing. It took me forever at the battle tower to afford the mint I needed so my Milotic was the right nature so that meant less I could spend on the power bands, the shiny Feebas came way to early, I was still trying to get one with the right nature & good IVs so I could do a parent switch but that purple fish was too excited to come into this world. I wasn’t planning on using the Milotic for competitive anyways, wanted to have something that could take hits for when I helped my friends in raids but I had to make sure he had the right nature & it was my practice for this generation. When I got my shiny Eiscue, I just straight up used vitamins on him, was lazy & rich so I wanted to take it easy & vitamin him up.
Sheep on route 1 give deff as well.
Edit: you can also put 10 pokemon in a pokejob and then do the raid reset trick (put 10 pokemon in a job, go to a den, put in a wishing piece, go to invite, set clock time 1 day ahead, quite raid).. all 10 pokemon should have max EV for that stat within 10 min
Adrive should just make a video on breeding a perfect Pokémon then EV training it for the perfect stats! It would really help me in understanding breeding and ev training. I already watch this and the breeding video like twice each already but I still have a lot of questions.
Like how do I know if it’s the perfect Pokémon, is it because it has the nature I’m looking for?
Since it is level 1 therefore it’s weak, how do I battle for say rookidees to get speed Evs?
Can I switch Pokémon in to help? Will it still get the ev?
What if it levels up? Does it mess up the EVs?
Does leveling up give EVs?
So does EV training have the potential to make any stat really good or just really, really good for what stat it’s meant to be good at? Example: Snorlax is slow naturally but can EV training make him quick now or would that be considered a waste because his natural speed basically prevents that? Please and thank you
