The Semi Finals in the Pokemon Championship Cup!
Can our Bug Types pick up the win in the Semi Finals?

Yes. I think it’s the best version of the end. It being a huge televised event makes perfect sense. I feel like this should have been how it was the whole time.
Oh, yes. I definitely prefer this over an Elite Four. Feels like something straight out of the anime. They did good this time around.
Do you like the idea of a champion cup?
Yes, I love it! It gives me OG anime vibes with the tournaments they’d do in the show and all that
I like the champion’s cup because instead of just beating the gyms and then the Elite 4, you get to fight Hop and Marnie and also get to go through all the gym leaders (unless they get beaten) again like a tournament
Don’t know why but I’m getting an Anime Vibe in all of this! 😄😂
This feels just like the Pokemon League in the Anime! 😀
Instead of Battling Elite 4s you Battle Other Trainers! 😄😂
Yes, but I’d also like to make it so you beat the Champions Cup then you have the right to challenge the Elite Four THEN fight the Champion. I know that may be a bit much, but I’d love it if we have both the Champions Cup then the Elite Four all before facing the Champ.
It would have been just awesome to see you spend time just exploring this huge city because its based on London! but you’re going to have to conform yourself with this linear metropolis because its Pokemon right? it doesn’t have to innovate “it is what it is”
I actually do like the Championship Cup, instead of it being just you and an elite 4 member, It’s you with a crowd watching against other gym challengers, rivals, gym leaders and (if participating) Leon as the final battle. It’s really fun and I love how the crowd goes along with the background music, that was a nice idea on Game Freaks part. Very well done.
I prefer videos like this where you actually speak normally. I’ve noticed that in tutorial-esque videos you put on some weird deeper voice that you think is more appealing but is not. It literally is a completely different accent that you do not have.
I have been playing oras trying to get 50 shinys because my friend and I have a bet that if I don’t find 50 by April I owe him 50 bucks, I see most people use gardevoir, kirlia, and ralts as the pokemon they send out first do they have any abilities that make it easier? I really want to know
Not only the champions cup.
The entire setup feels ways more like fun. In other generations you felt like one of those few weirdos who are into Pokemon battles and almost none cared for that. Empty gyms and none paying you any attention.
But in gallar it feels like you are a master of the National sport.
Was sceptical at first but now gen 8 is the best Pokemon generation in my opinion.
I wonder what happens if you lose? This isn’t the elite four so you theoretically shouldn’t be able to just re-challenge since its a competition and you have to face off against each other. You probably can but it would be fairly interesting if we could be like Ash and just lose lol. It would be a lot more interesting if there were a few more trainers who we encountered but never battled to face in the championships so it would feel more epic and competitive. It also makes me wonder about how you go about re-challenging since I think the gym challenge isn’t always active. They definitely took an interesting approach with this game I’ll give them that. Her moves did seem a little amateurish for her Pokemon’s level and her alleged skill but that may have been to help you win since you need to for the story.
I don’t like the champion cup as it is and wish it was more similar to the Pokemon league where we simply battle our fellow gym challengers.
It’s just too weird how they throw us into a gym leader tournament where 1 of them is missing and stuff. Like, seriously, we just battled the dragon leader! Why do we have to battle him again? They can prove which of them is the strongest on their own time or else make it a post game thing or something.
It would’ve been better and more realistic if we had 7 rivals instead. All they would have to do is announce them at the opening ceremony and then maybe have them appear at a Pokemon center or something along the way so that they can give you their trainer card. It’s not that hard. They don’t got to rehash the same old gym leaders…
