Not gonna lie, I was just kinda going through the story when I found a shiny rolycoly. I was so out of it I was all like “Oh, a shiny”

Glad to see this series return! And I love how some people don’t even realize it’s Shiny till the sparkle because the game is so new and they haven’t seen the Pokemon yet 😀

I also got a shiny rookidee but I was looking at my phone watching a video on how to shiny hunt in sword and it ran up to me my first random encounter

About what one of the dudes were saying about “The Chain”, in my experience, that only counts whether you make a Pokémon faint through battle or if you catch it. If you go to the PokéDex en try of the mon you are hunting in the Wild, you can see the number of encounters you have of that specific MON (eggs hatched DO NOT COUNT for this). So, that is what only matters. It doesn’t matter if you catch other Pokémon, do some other stuff, leave the area, or do raids, only increasing that number. I would actually advice that you do some different acrivities or catch some different mons every now and then (my assuption os that it could help the RNG rolls in your favor a bit). From the 3 out of 4 shinies I have hunted in the Wild Area, the 3 I have found I have done various activities between farming session and they usually come below the 512th encounter in am average of 5 hours (got a Honedge, Mawile and Hatterene in the Wild, only the Rookidie have not appeared after 512 encounters).

I’ll always remember that one time when I started to play Pokemon X and Y all over again, after buying pokeballs at the start, the first pokemon I have encountered was a god damn shiny bird, these lil moments which just feels nice 👌

STORY TIME

I just got the Pokémon shield and I start playing with my friend, we were trying to get a growlith because needed a fire type. I try to walk up to one and there was a Pokémon blocking me in the grass. I said, “Aww, a vanillite blocked me”. I was about to run, and then my friend yelled, “OMG YOU GOT A SHINY!”. I said, “ REALLY!?!?”. We both started screaming and running around the room yelling, “WE GOT A SHINY”

But I never caught the poor growlith

the feeling Poijz had when he found that shiny was just like how i felt, when i played Pokemon Moon for the first time, and after the intro, i went into the grass at route 1 to catch my first pokemon and it was a shiny pipipek, full ods. I almost flipped and ran around the house 🙂

3:12 My reaction (well half of it) to finding normal, bog standard Dreepy for the 1st time in the driving , soggy thunderstruck skies and rain after 300+ encounters being chased down by rabid Braviary’s, Haxorus’es, Noiverns, Araquinids,, (snifff,,,,)

I caught shiny Weavile in a max raid battle and I flipped out so hard 😂 it took me like 4 goes or such at the max raid battle just to catch it 😂

I had a similar experience with wooloo. After I made it to the second gym i decided to wait for my fiancé to catch up with me and i saw a wooloo and decided to shiny hunt it so i encountered it and it was shiny on the first one. Wish i could have got my reaction lol

The first time I encountered a shiny in the wild, was when I was playing Emerald and I came across a shiny Electrike. I didn’t even know it was a shiny until I saw more normal ones after I caught it, so I was completely nonchalant about encountering and catching it.
