Keep looking through route 3, there’s a good and rare bug type there. You can also wait until the 3rd gym to catch one but that one’s a one-time encounter.
Favorite pokemon professor: Rowan from pttd!! He’s so neat imo and had a different feel from the past few games before gen 4 imo I really liked how directly involved he was
Favorite Professor is Elm Cause Johto was my first game and I love water types! But I’m gonna try not to use water types on the galar region cause there arent many waters but I’m gonna use a Drednaw
gen 4 rowan because to me he seemed like he actually cared about the decisions he took. he was pretty philosophical and I felt like he genuinly cared about the trainer and the world.

Kukui is my favourite professor just because you get to battle him at the end and I have always wanted to battle a professor and he wasn’t a pushover either. Plus he is a cool guy!
probably rowan because he seemed smarter than all the other professors and he seemed unique because his name didn’t resemble a tree (I think) and he had a brown coat

Sycamore is my favorite Professor thus far. Nothing against the others, I just felt like Sycamore was the most involved with my character and genuinely cared the most. Kukui gives him a run for the money. Oak isn’t far behind just cause he’s the OG.
